At night, as the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre (SZCAC) is lit up, the Suzhou Jinji Lake Art Museum, one of the earliest art museums in SIP, looks like a glittering pearl on the bank of Jinji Lake.
The museum is eleven years old, and it receives more than 100,000 visitors each year, according to deputy curator Zha Yixin.
Located in the modern industrial park, the museum has hosted diverse exhibitions to showcase contemporary art works from all over the world, and has offered strong support for Suzhou-native artists in recent years.
Entering the museum on the second floor of the SZCAC, visitors will feel like walking on a winding path leading to a secluded quiet place. The museum features white and gray colors which feel serene.
