The 6th Grand Canal Culture and Tourism Expo was held at Suzhou International Expo Centre in SIP from Sept 13 to 15, attracting about 130,000 visitors and nearly 500 million viewers on line.
The event offered the participants multiple channels to learn about the culture related to the Grand Canal of China, a man-made waterway system created in ancient China, and also business opportunities.
The four themed exhibitions attracted more than 5,000 exhibitors from 66 cities in 38 countries and regions, and the trading volume under tentative agreements made on site was RMB235 million.
During the expo, Suzhou held a series of events to showcase local cultural characteristics, such as the “Jiangnan Mini Theater”, the Show of Folk Music along the Grand Canal, and the Grand Canal Cultural and Tourism Carnival.
