The Plush Supermarket collected stuffed and plush products from 10 museums, including nine in China and one in the UK, and a zoo in Nanjing, capital of East China’s Jiangsu province. These products were created based on the best-loved collections at the museums and the most popular animals in the zoo.
The plush crab from Suzhou Museum, named “Xie Qingqing”, won the favor of many visitors.
These products reflect the museums’ efforts to make cultural products carriers of traditional culture and spiritual principles instead of just souvenirs for tourists. Among them are toys, blind boxes, refrigerator magnets and decorations which are designed to cater to today’s consumption trends, especially those of young people.
