Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of the CPC SIP Working Committee, and his contingent visited SIP Customs on Dec 26, learning about its work and offering advice for its future work and cooperation with other local authorities.
SIP Customs has made remarkable progress in all kinds of its services. With its support, SIP’s total imports and exports reached RMB625.93 billion from January to November, with a year-on-year increase of 14.1%.
Moreover, SIP Customs has adopted a series of measures to support biomedical and integrated circuits industries, and offered help for a number of businesses to be recognized as Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs).
SIP Customs has also made a succession of institutional innovations such as those aimed at facilitating import of products for R&D purposes and collaborative regulation of special goods.
Shen gave high praise to SIP Customs’ contributions to SIP’s economic and social development over the past 30 years, encouraging it to deepen institutional reform and innovations to help improve SIP’s business environment and create new advantages for foreign trade.
