Shen Mi, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, made a survey tour on June 24 to several construction projects that are going on in SIP.
Shen and his contingent first visited Bosch Auto Parts (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a branch of German multinational engineering and electronics company Bosch in SIP, and learned details about the company’s operations, future plans and the progress of the R&D and manufacturing base that Bosch started to build last March for development and production of core components and automatic driving systems for new energy vehicles.
The survey team also visited Bosch Intelligent Manufacturing Enabling Center, which was established in 2021 under the cooperation of SIP Administrative Committee and Bosch Auto Parts (Suzhou) Co Ltd to provide services aimed at helping Bosch’s partners develop “l(fā)ighthouse factories” within the Global Lighthouse Network.
In the meeting with Bosch Auto Parts (Suzhou)’s executives, Shen hoped that the company could ensure high-quality development of the projects and encouraged Bosch to continue to expand investment in SIP.
The survey team then visited the construction sites of the No. 6 and No. 9 Jinji Stations which are designed for tourists to have a rest during their travels in the Jinji Lake area, and also the construction site of Suzhou Contemporary Art Museum which consists of nine connected buildings near the Jinji Lake Ferris Wheel.
