SIP unveiled the upgraded Jinji Lake Talents Program on Dec 19, ramping up its efforts to attract talents and optimize talent pool.
SIP modifies the Jinji Lake Talents Program every three years. In the recent three years, the total number of talents in SIP has increased by 15% to reach 525,000, with a talent density of 56.4%.
Under the new version of the Jinji Lake Talents Program, SIP will increase the budget for implementation of relevant talent policies by 37% over the following three years, and for the first time, the policies cover people with technical college diploma.
The upgraded program boasts a “1+4+X” policy system, namely one framework document plus four sets of specific policies for different kinds of talents and several other sets of policies for special talents. People meeting the conditions under these policies can receive rewards and subsidies.
It is worth mentioning that, based on the policies under the program, people with technical college diploma and higher academic qualifications can enjoy a subsidy ranging from RMB70,000 to 250,000 for buying a house in the designated residential quarters on the premise that they have paid into the social insurance fund or paid the individual income tax in SIP for six consecutive months and have not owned any house in SIP.
SIP aims to increase the total number of talents to 570,000 and the talent density to 60% in the following three years, and hopes the size, structure and development efficiency of the local talent pool will approach the current level of Silicon Valley by 2030.
