SIP authorities and Soochow University held their eleventh work conference at the Dushu Lake Campus of the university in SIP on Feb 29, discussing details of future strategic cooperation.

The tie-up of the two parties dates back to 2005 when the Dushu Lake Campus was set up. Since then, the two parties have continuously strengthened collaboration in a wide range of fields.

Last July, SIP and Soochow University signed an agreement to deepen strategic cooperation in integrated development. Remarkable achievements have been made so far.

The university has opened a liaison office in the Dushu Lake Campus with designated personnel in charge of communication with partners in SIP. The Soochow University Sub-center of the National Center of Technology Innovation for Biopharmaceuticals was established. And the Suzhou Dushu Lake Hospital (Dushu Lake Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University) in SIP was renamed as The Fourth Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University (Suzhou Dushu Lake Hospital).

At the conference, the two parties confirmed the main tasks of this year’s cooperation in nine aspects including Party building, talent cultivation and introduction, support for industries and scientific and technological innovation.
