The Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District Higher Education Institutions’ Open Day for Science Popularization was launched at Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research of the University of Science and Technology of China on May 18, aimed at promoting the spread of sciences.

Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research of the University of Science and Technology of China, the State Key Laboratory of Radiation Medicine and Protection at Soochow University, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Oxford Suzhou Centre for Advanced Research and the Institute of Systems Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (Suzhou Institute of Systems Medicine) jointly formed an alliance for science popularization.

On the same day, the five institutions hosted the Open Day events, where the participating youngsters visited the institutions’ labs on biomedicine, nanotech or AI, listened to stories about the “spirit of scientists”, watched videos about sciences, attended science lectures, took part in the prize-giving quizzes, and did experiments.
