SIP held a conference on June 14 in the aim of promoting integrated development of higher education, science and technology and human resources.

The event started with a roundup of last year’s achievements in the development of higher education institutions in SIP. And then the SIP Action Plan for Promoting Exemplary Integrated Development of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Human Resources (2024-2026) was released.

Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, where a large number of higher education (research) institutions and innovative tech companies are located, gave an introduction to its outcomes in integrated development of higher education, science and technology and human resources as well as the results of a research of future prospects in related fields.

Xia Ji, managing partner and chief content officer of Shanghai-based Hualue Think-Tank, shared his opinions and offered advice on the integrated development of higher education, science and technology and human resources in the district.

The representatives from Soochow University, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou SVG Tech Group Co Ltd, Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Suzhou) AI Research Institute gave speeches.

A number of universities and research institutes were declared “Excellent Schools (Institutes) in SIP in 2023”.

The Manual on Sci-Tech and Educational Resources of Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District was unveiled, offering information about schools and scientific and technological research platforms in the district.
