The Production-Education Integration Joint Talent Cultivation Base of the Suzhou Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) in SIP welcomed 15 graduate students on July 19.

The Suzhou Institute of Artificial Intelligence of SJTU was established in SIP in 2018. It has gathered a group of high-caliber talents, incubated a number of sci-tech innovation projects, and fostered an innovation ecosystem encompassing development and commercialization of research outcomes and project incubation and acceleration services.

The base was inaugurated last year for the purpose of cultivating inter-disciplinary, applied talents engaged in such fields as artificial intelligence, computing and big data, electronics and communication engineering, integrated circuit and engineering.

The graduate students, majoring in computer, micro/nano engineering and electronics, have finished their first-year theory study at the SJTU headquarters. They will attend a series of hands-on courses offered by the base in collaboration with several research institutes and enterprises in SIP.
