An event was held at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Hefei, East China’s Anhui province, on Nov 1 to attract talents and innovation and startup projects to SIP.
The USTC established a research institute in SIP in 2001, and opened the Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research in 2020.
As a main part of the event, an introduction to SIP’s industrial layout and talent policies was given to the participating students, and a job fair was held to offer them 2,066 job opportunities from 62 employers in SIP.
Eight USTC students received scholarships from SIP, and the job seekers got coupons for expenses of travelling to SIP for interviews and other benefits.
Through online and onsite recruitment, the recruiters received 1,247 resumes, and reached tentative agreements with 401 people. In addition, 28 students received the “express card” for final interviews.
In another part of the event, 14 post-doctoral research stations in Suzhou gave introductions to their recruitment plans to over 70 USTC students under doctoral programs, and received resumes from 30 of them.
The event also included a meeting aimed at facilitating cooperation between SIP-based enterprises and research leaders at different departments of USTC, an introduction to a training camp designed for USTC students to visit SIP and learning more about it, and a fair with cultural and technological products from SIP.
