McDonald’s, a world-leading fast food chain, formally put its Suzhou branch into operation in SIP on Dec 24.

In October, the company signed agreements with Suzhou Bureau of Commerce, SIP Administrative Committee and SIP Neighborhood Center Development Co Ltd. Under the agreements, McDonald’s will expand its network in Suzhou, aiming to open over 170 restaurants across the city over the following five years, which will amount the total number of the McDonald’s outlets in the city to over 290.

The Suzhou branch not only manages the McDonald’s restaurants in Suzhou, but also devotes to developing “green restaurants” that seek sustainability in food, packaging, supply chain and resource utilization in Suzhou.
