The two-day 2024 Global AI Product & Application Expo (AI Expo) opened in SIP on Dec 10, bringing together about 50 distinguished guests and nearly 300 industrial experts from home and abroad.
The event, focused on large models, AIGC (AI-generated content), embodied intelligence and industrial AI, showcased the latest achievements in AI technology and application, and demonstrated future development trends of related industries.
John Edward Hopcroft, an American computer scientist and co-winner of the 1986 A.M. Turing Award, gave a speech titled “AI for Education”, and other guests also shared their opinions and insights.
The award ceremony of the 1st Zu Chongzhi Award ― Award for Cutting-edge AI Innovation program was held, and the application for the 2nd Zu Chongzhi Award was launched concurrently.
The award ceremony of the 2nd AI Expo Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held. The winners, selected from about 200 AI product and application development teams, received prizes.
The China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone Suzhou Area AI Industry Innovation Cluster Post-doctoral Collaboration Center was inaugurated to facilitate collaboration between prestigious higher education institutions, research institutes and industry-leading businesses in AI technology innovation and development.
Additionally, the signing ceremony for 24 “AI+” projects was held, and 20 application scenarios for use of AI in manufacturing, medical services, education and other fields were announced.
At the same time, over 100 products from 50-plus companies were shown, and about 20 new products were unveiled.
