A number of industrial projects and those for cultural tourism and people’s wellbeing have seen significant progress.
Bosch is building a manufacturing facility in SIP for production of core components and automatic driving systems for new energy vehicles. The first phase of the project, the manufacturing part, has come into use in October, and the second phase is expected to go into operation in late 2025.
The new BOPP/BOPE production line of Suzhou Kunlene Film Industries Co Ltd was put into operation in November.
The photomask plant of Jiangsu Luxin Semiconductor Technology Co Ltd has been completed, and is scheduled to start operation in the first half of next year.
Concurrently, a number of projects for cultural tourism are going on smoothly. The construction of the Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art will be completed next year.
The spectators stands and the pitch payments of the No.1 to 7 courts of Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tennis Center have been completed, and 75% of the enclosure and lamp-posts has been finished.
The construction of the Chongyun Lane in SIP’s Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort is going on well. Under the project, the Chongyuansi Business District will be renovated to form a cluster of B&Bs with catering, fitness, retail and entertainment services.
The underground main structure of the second phase of Bicester Village Suzhou, a popular complex for shoppers and tourists, has been completed, and 75% of the aboveground part has been finished.
The Suzhou LY.COM Center Headquarters broke ground this month, and the headquarters building that is being built by Suzhou Gold Mantis Culture Development Co Ltd in Yangcheng Yinzuo is scheduled to come into use in March 2026.
Among the projects for people’s wellbeing are the one designed to improve the landscape around Qingjian Lake, the second phase of The Fourth Hospital Affiliated to Soochow University, and the new site of Weiting Community Health Center, which are progressing quickly.
