KPMG China, a member within the Netherlands-based global audit, tax and advisory service firm KPMG, declared the winners of its second ESG 50 Awards in SIP on Dec 20. Suzhou ESG Innovation Center in SIP won the award for best ESG practitioners, and SIP Urban Development Research Institute garnered the award for best ESG innovators.

Suzhou ESG Innovation Center, run by SIP-based multi-business conglomerate Sungent Group, aims to introduce a number of businesses engaged in study of policies on ESG, related rating and certification, green finance and environmental services to promote sustainable development of SIP.

SIP Urban Development Research Institute serves as a think tank for the urban development in SIP. With its support, SIP has released a series of plans, measures and rules designed to accelerate ESG practices and development of related business.

The KPMG China ESG Research Center was inaugurated at Suzhou ESG Innovation Center concurrently to leverage KPMG’s expertise in ESG to explore ways for ESG-oriented development.
