The laboratory complex in the eastern part of the Sangtian Science Island S&T Innovation Center that is being built in SIP was roofed recently, marking a new progress of the project.

As designed, the eastern part of the project consists of one floor underground and six aboveground, with a total floor area of about 360,000 squares meters. Its steel structure is 25 meters high and 285 meters long.

The laboratory complex broke ground in August and was roofed on Dec 15, 15 days ahead of schedule. This has laid a solid foundation for its delivery in September next year.
