SIP’s Jinji Lake CBD has never stopped its endeavor to pursue green development.

On the Earth Day, which is annually observed worldwide on Apr 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection, with the support of the CBD authorities, several “science popularization stations” were inaugurated in different industrial clusters to spread environmental concepts to the public.

On Apr 22, a training session was held at Suzhou International Building to provide training on the use of a digital carbon accounting tool to over 90 enterprises.

Recently, an exchange conference was held in Ascendas Xinfei Square where law enforcers from the CBD’s emergency response and environmental law enforcement department, experts from SIP Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Association and executives from the operators of nine industrial facilities discussed ways of striving for green development of industrial projects.

Jinji Lake CBD made remarkable achievements last year in promoting standard environmental management of industrial projects, with five recognized as “green projects”, 21 “blue projects” and three “demonstration projects in environmental management system standardization in SIP”.

This year, the CBD plans to take a series of measures including enhancing supervision and employing third-party experts to give directions for enterprises to roll out standard environmental management in more industrial projects.
