The Suzhou City Terminal of Shanghai Airport Authority (AVINEX) in SIP recently got an IATA code, “SZO”, which marks that it has become a terminal of international flights.

The Suzhou City Terminal of AVINEX came into operation last May to provide ticket booking, check-in and other services for passengers of AVINEX’s airports in Shanghai. So far, with services for flights of 10 airlines, it has served about 50,000 passengers, helping each of them save time by 30 to 45 minutes on average for each travel.

The three-letter code is expected to help the terminal facilitate efficient flight operations, passenger services, and cargo handling.
