SIP hosted an event on June 7 to mark the World Environment Day that is annually observed worldwide on June 5 to encourage awareness of and action for environmental protection.

The event, held in Dongshahu Eco-Park, was sponsored by SIP Ecological Environment Bureau, and organized by the authorities of SIP’s Shengpu Sub-district.

In the event, SIP Ecological Civilization Education Practice Base was inaugurated. It serves as a comprehensive platform for exhibition of achievements in environmental management and spread of environmental concepts.

A number of enterprises received awards for their excellent performances in ecological civilization education practices and contributions to local watercourse protection.

Five sub-districts in SIP received donated books on ecological environment.

A fair was held concurrently, showcasing an array of products and services provided by SIP’s administrative departments, enterprises, public institutions and social organizations for the purpose of protecting environment and spreading knowledge on environmental protection.
