A ceremony was held in SIP on July 26 for seven innovative energy-storage power stations to be put into service. These projects, with a total installed capacity of 412,900kW/825,800 kWh, are expected to provide about 400 million kWh of green electricity each year, which is equal to the one-year electricity consumption of 120,000 households.
Suzhou has thus far seen nine energy storage projects operationalized at the power grid side, with the total installed capacity increasing by nearly four times over the previous year.
It is worth mentioning that GCL Group, a Suzhou-based private enterprise engaged in new energy technology, participated in the investment in and construction of six of the power stations, and three of the projects are located in SIP.
