Taikang Community Wu Garden, a continuing care retirement community in SIP’s Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort, was recently recognized by the elderly services associations of Shanghai and Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces as the first 5A-class elderly care base for migratory bird-style retirement in the Yangtze River Delta region after the evaluation of China Quality Certification Centre.
The third phase of the retirement community, invested by Chinese insurance conglomerate Taikang, came into operation on the same day, offering 618 houses in five buildings for the elderly and one building for older people dubbed “elderly migratory birds”, which refer to seasonally migrating elderly citizens in pursuit of pleasant weather or comfortable dwellings.
Taikang Community Wu Garden provides not only a beautiful environment, convenient facilities and considerate services, but also an assortment of interest-oriented classes and frequent recreational activities. It even has a rehabilitation hospital.
Taikang Community has announced a series of solutions for people who embrace the “migratory-bird” lifestyle.
