A recitation event was held at Jinji Station 01, SIP on Oct 19 as part of the French Literature Reading Week of the 3rd Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week that was underway in SIP.

The event was sponsored by SIP Culture, Sports and Tourism Office, and organized by SIP Public Cultural Center.

During the event, the participants including those from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus and several tech companies read the letters of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Simone de Beauvoir and other famous writers, or passages from a number of French literary works such as The Little Prince.

The choirs from several universities in SIP and a folk music troupe gave performances. Concurrently, a French book exhibition was held, and French food and crafts were available on site.

The French Literature Reading Week will last four weeks, with a variety of reading sessions and other activities such as photography and book exhibitions held across SIP.
