The three-day Montreux Jazz Festival China 2024 opened in SIP on Oct 25 with amazing performances.

Created in 1967, the Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the oldest and most influential music events in the world. While jazz, soul and blues are at the roots of this event, other styles of music also have their place. It was the debut of Montreux Jazz Festival in SIP, though it has been held in China since 2021.

Performances were given on three stages, and the formidable lineup, including Al McKay’s Earth, Wind & Fire Experience, Indonesian musician Joey Alexander and Chinese “Disco Queen” Zhang Qiang, attracted lots of music lovers.

A carnival was launched concurrently, encompassing a sunrise yoga experience event, a swing dance party, cycling tours, bazaars and other activities.
