A grand gala was held in Suzhou Dushu Lake Sci-Edu Innovation District, SIP on Dec 5 for people from different industries, schools and communities.

The special stamp designed for SIP’s 30th anniversary was presented to a number of people who have made remarkable contributions to the district’s development. And the district’s achievements in a program aimed at cultivating school-based tech businesses were unveiled.

Then the performances began. Students from Suzhou Pingtan School, SIP Institute of Vocational Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, SIP Industrial Technical School and Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus performed amazing songs and dances.

Several companies, research institutes and schools jointly staged wonderful performances. For example, the performing art enthusiasts from Suzhou Gold Mantis Construction & Decoration Co Ltd, the Jiangsu branch of The Fourth Construction Co Ltd of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division and SIP Institute of Services Outsourcing staged a dance to the accompaniment of the song “Love Begins”.

The students from Soochow University Dushu Lake Campus recited a poem depicting SIP’s development over the past 30 years.

The event ended amidst the song “My Country and Me” staged by the choir from USTC Suzhou Institute for Advanced Study along with warm applause from the audiences.
