The Black Tie Boxing Academy at SIP’s Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block is a dream facilitator for boxing enthusiasts. It has gotten more popular recently following the increasing zest for the sport of boxing in the country after the Chinese boxing team won three gold and two silver medals in the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
The Black Tie Boxing Academy was founded by Goran Martinovic, a former member of the Croatian national boxing team, in 2015. It has been engaged in popularizing the sport of boxing, and has held the Suzhou Showdown white collar boxing competitions for 10 years.
The Black Tie Boxing Academy has a team of coaches from both home and abroad, who have rich experience in international events. It provides boxing classes to people aged from 4 to 65.
The Black Tie Boxing Academy also offers brokerage services to those who want to become professional athletes, including career planning, diet design, rehabilitation and assistance in participating in various events.
With the assistance from Goran Martinovic, Ding Wen, a student at an international school, participated in the open invitational in Croatia early this year as the only contestant from China.
“In addition to learning boxing skills, my son has partaken in many public-benefit campaigns organized by Black Tie Boxing. These experiences are expected to increase his opportunities to be accepted by a good university in the future,” said Ding’s father.
