The 6th “Marvelous SIP” Culture and Art Travel Festival kicked off at Harmony Times Square in SIP on Oct 25 to offer the participants an opportunity to enjoy a special, wonderful tour in SIP.

Sponsored by the Publicity Department and the United Front Work Department of the CPC SIP Working Committee, and organized by Suzhou Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourism Development Co Ltd, the event is designed to showcase SIP’s highlights in integrating culture and tourism and help both locals and tourists know better about local tourist products and services.

A hand-painted panoramic map of SIP was unveiled, highlighting SIP’s major tourist destinations paired with information about routes and tourist services.

The upgraded Chinese version of SIP’s concessionary travel card and the first English version of the card were unveiled. The cards allow the users to enjoy a list of discounts when they travel in SIP.

The second version of Jinji Lake Tourist Passport was released. The holders are encouraged to visit 30 destinations around Jinji Lake to collect 30 special stamps.

The award ceremony of 2024 SIP Short Video Creators’ Competition was held. Since its launch in April, the competition collected 412 short videos which received about 600,000 “Likes” on line.

A fair opened at the same time, with dazzling products from hotels, art galleries, traditional handicraft studios and other suppliers of tourist products and services.
