The Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Fair was declared one of the “Typical Cases of Mass Culture in China in 2024” at the 2024 Chinese Mass Culture Brands Development Conference held in Shanghai lately.

The Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Fair is held in tandem with the Jinji Lake Dragon Boat Race in Jinji Lake Scenic Area, a 5A-class national scenic spot in SIP, every year to celebrate the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival which, reckoned on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar, usually falls in June.

The fair offers opportunities for people to learn about intangible cultural heritage, traditional folk customs, cultural tourism products and projects, and various forms of art. It attracts more than 100,000 participants each year.
